New England Patriots quarterback Matt Corral has left the Patriots without notice, according to a report from the Boston Herald.
Matt Corral, who has been conspicuously missing from Gillette Stadium for the past two days, has not participated in practices, walkthroughs, or team meetings.
Herald reporter Doug Kyed posted on Twitter: "QB Matt Corral left the Patriots without notice, according to a source. Explains the "not injury related" tag on the practice report Friday and his placement on the exempt/left squad list today."
Matt Corral was already listed as questionable for the Patriots opener against the Eagles. New England listed him as missing practice on Friday and ruled the absence as a "non-injury" reason. However, he did practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
Now the New England Patriots quarterback depth chart is back where it started, as the club signed Bailey Jappe to the 53-man roster on Saturday and placed Matt Corral on the exempt/left squad list.
